Make a Three Year Pledge

The American Federation of Pueri Cantores (AFPC) was founded in the early 1960s. National headquarters moved from Chicago to Orange, California in 2005 where it has been sustained through the generosity of individual donors, foundation grants and minimal fees charged for festival participation. In more than 130 festivals, singers have been included from 75 dioceses, numerous ethnicities and divergent economic backgrounds. AFPC must raise donor revenue of $500,000 for the 2018 festival year in order to support the 12 announced regional festivals, develop 3 new locations for 2019, expand online outreach, and underwrite a new Webinar series addressing the area of conductor education. A national Conductor Summit designed for directors of Catholic school and parish choirs is also planned for the summer of 2018. AFPC is the only student music organization recognized as a corporate partner of the National Catholic Educational Organization (NCEA). AFPC receives no funding from the Church.

The 2018 Goals of AFPC:
• To grow U.S. choir participation to 10,000 singers which equal 1% of the 1 million students in United States Catholic schools in the age group (4th-12th grade) AFPC serves.
• To enhance the spiritual well-being of young singers through the singing and understanding of sacred and spiritual music.
• To serve diverse communities through performances in religious, cultural, and community settings that results in building stronger spiritual communities.
• To develop cultural compassion and understanding through the building of local, national and international friendships.
• To create collaboration between schools, churches, families, businesses, and communities to support excellent choral music in the Church.
• To be a primary resource for all 6400 U.S. Catholic schools to accomplish the Religion and Arts components of the STREAM educational Initiative (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math) adopted by the National Catholic Educational Association.
• To provide royalty-free quality music to choirs at little or no cost.
• To equip choral directors with essential continuing educational credits and programs in music.

AFPC is actively seeking donor individuals, sponsor organizations or corporations, and foundations interested in providing young people with a exceptional experience in choral music that will expand their world, promote spiritual growth and develop a relationship with God and the Church that they can carry all their lives. Under the supervision of its Episcopal Moderator, Bishop David A. Zubik, a critically needed national sustainability campaign is currently underway to preserve the musical outreach of AFPC to Catholic students in schools and parishes.

Please prayerfully consider a significant gift, remitted over a 3 year period, to preserve this special ministry, and return the downloadable Pledge Form below to the AFPC office at 1188 N. Tustin St., Orange, CA 92867.

Thank you for your leadership in this campaign, and may God bless our mutual effort.
