2028-2029 Rome Congress

Dear Friends,

It is with great joy that we announce the next International Congress of Pueri Cantores, which will take place in Rome from December 2028 through January 2029.

We warmly invite all U.S. Pueri Cantores choirs to join us for this extraordinary and unforgettable pilgrimage. This international gathering, held every five years, brings together thousands of young singers from around the world for a weeklong celebration of sacred music, faith, and fellowship in the heart of the Church.

The highlight of the Congress is participation in the New Year's Day Papal Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, with the Holy Father presiding. Additional events include the vibrant Mass of Nations, Prayer for Peace, Christmas caroling throughout the city, guided tours and sightseeing, a festive New Year’s Eve celebration, a private, after-hours tour of the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel, and opportunities to sing for liturgies in churches across Rome alongside fellow Pueri Cantores choirs from around the globe.

At our most recent Rome Congress in 2023–2024, more than 4,000 singers from countries spanning Brazil to South Korea gathered in Rome, including nearly 1,000 participants from across the United States. The experience was truly inspiring and a powerful witness to the universality of the Church through sacred music.
